First Marathon of the Year

Thought I would start-off the new scottshiba.com by posting a link to my other blog.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I ran the New Jersey Marthon. This was my second, and her third marathon. In short, we were disappointed with our time, but proud of ourselves for the way we pushed through despite terrible conditions. Running a marathon is a lot like a nightmare gig. There are times when you hate life… you want to throw in the towel and call it quits. The true journey, however, (in both cases) comes with finishing strong, and surprising yourself along the way. Running has taught me determination, as well as the true definition of how amazing it feels sometimes to suffer.
